Welcome to Kindergarten!
What are we learning about? We are reading the story "Hide Cylde" this week. We are talking about how chameleons change and grow. We are learning about sentences this week inLanguage Arts. These are a group of words put together that have a meaning. Remember to start with an uppercase and end with a period! In Math we are learning about measurement. We have talked about longer/shorter, heavier/lighter, holds more/holds less, covers more/covers less and hot/cold. In Social Studies we are talking about our country. We have learned about all of our symbols. In Science we are learning about the season of winter. We have conducted experiments by brining snow into the classroom. Ask your child what happened to the snow. We are also looking at ice cubes and talking about solids/liquids/gasses. We are learning all about our place in the Solar System. Ask you child which planets we have learned about so far.
