Breaking Records in Kindergarten
We did it!
Back in October, our class participated in a “Read Across America” event. The event was sponsored by Jumpstart, whose intent was to break the world record of reading the same story to the most children at a given period of time. On October, 6, 2011, the kindergartners at School #5 joined the campaign by reading Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney. The results are in and together, we have done it! Across America, 2,184,155 children heard the story, which was enough to break the world record! At School #5, our kindergartners are a part of something really big. Be sure to congratulate your child. Hip, hip, hooray! ______________________________________________________________________________ To contact me, you may reach me by: Sending a note in the purple communication folder Emailing me at mcampomizzi@gboe.org Calling the main office at (973) 340-5035
