Welcome to all of our new and returning music students!  We have been very busy learning how to sing our national anthem and our 4th and 5th graders have even learned a bit about it's history!   We are learning how to sing and coordinate body and hand movements to familiar and unfamiliar songs and sometimes we add our own rhythms with rhythm instruments.   Our 3rd graders have received their recorders and are fast learning the basics of music reading and playing their first wind instrument!

We have been particularly inspired by the success of the P.S. 22 Chorus of Staten Island and I encourage our students to check them out on the Internet(Schooltube.com).  One of our goals is to be able to sing with the emotion, precision and verve they possess.  Our students believe they can surpass their performances.  I believe them!
