2007 Induction

The Garfield High School Academic Hall of Fame inducted six new members into the organization at a dinner / reception on June 17th, 2008, at the Royal Manor (Formally the Cotillion) on Midland Avenue in Garfield at 4:30pm. Induction into the Academic Hall of Fame acknowledges the career accomplishments, community and national services, personal excellence, and dedication to the lifelong learning demonstrated by Garfield High School alumni. Nominations were made by members of the community, high school faculty and friends. The final selection was voted upon by a committee of representatives from the Board of Education, school administration, current and retired faculty, the guidance department, student body and the community. New members include: Joseph Blondin, Sally Handley, Jason Krom, Margaret Paroby, Ray Roman, and Jayne L. Tanis(nee Janish).

In addition to recognizing alumni for academic achievement and career success, the Academic Hall of Fame underscores the importance of setting significant educational and personal goals for the students of Garfield High school.
