Text Box: 2008 Inductees Text Box: GHS Academic Hall of Fame Newsletter Text Box: Joseph Blondin class of 1962. Has a BS and MS from Farleigh Dickinson University in electrical engineering . Joseph has published 12 papers for NASA, was a  system engineer for the Hubble Space Telescope and worked on gyroscopes that guided the first rocket to the moon .He is an active member of the Allendale Ambulance Corps and resides in Allendale, NJ.   Sally Handley class of 1969. Holds a BA and MA from Douglass (Cum Laude) College and Wroxton College, England. She is a self-employed marketing consultant with 25 years experience and author of numerous self-help books and articles on marketing. Sally serves on the National Board of Directors for the Society of Marketing Professional Services and is Director of Marketing Communications for The Thornton Tomasetti Group. She currently resides in Passaic, NJ.   Jason Krom class of 1998 (Class Valedictorian). Has and a BA from the College of New Jersey (Summa Cum Laude) MBA form New York University’s Stern School of Business. Jason was recruited by Johnson and Johnson into the Financial Leadership Program and is a marketing finance manager for new business development at Novartis Consumer Health in New Jersey. Text Box: Garfield High School Text Box: Fall 2008 Text Box: Volume 1, Issue 1 Text Box: Induction into the Academic Hall of Fame acknowledges the career accomplishments, community and national service, personal excellence, and dedication to the lifelong learning demonstrated by Garfield High School alumni. Nominations were made by members of the community, high school faculty and friends. The final selection was voted upon by a committee of representatives from the Board of Education, school administration, current and retired faculty, the guidance department, student body and the community.  The nomination forms are available on the Garfield High School website http://www.gboe.org .Follow the link to High School then Hall of Fame. You may also pick them up at Garfield High School in the main office on Palisade and Outwater Lane. Nominations may be made by members of the community, faculty, students, and retired staff. The nominee must have graduated from Garfield High School prior to 1997 and have been recognized for a high level of achievement in a combination of academic endeavors, career excellence and service to community, state, or national initiatives. Moreover, the nominee should exemplify personal commitment to good character, scholarship, leadership, and service within his/her field of expertise. All nominations should be mailed before February 1, 2009, to Mr. Joseph Kobylarz, c/o Garfield High School, 500 Palisade Avenue, Garfield, NJ 07026.
