really think that I am ready to be seen as a real person in the real world and not just some high school student. BR: Do you know what you plan on majoring in in college? TT: Early Childhood education because I adore children and want to help them learn. VS: I want to major in Biology and become a dentist. NM: I plan on majoring in education because I want to be a teacher in Garfield, like my mom and all the other teachers that I’ve been inspired by. Honestly, I only want to teach here and if I don’t the job, I would also like to have another major to fall back on. BR: Do you wish to live at home and commute or dorm? Continued on pg. 2 |

Finally, Senior year! This is the year that we get to have fun, have fewer classes, or take some electives. The point is, this is our year and we get to have most of the fun. Although there is just one thing we have to worry about and that is making the important decisions of our lives. The choices that we make shape us into who we are going to be. If you’re going to the movies this weekend, but you’re sick of watching movies that have absolutely no meaning and make you wish you had spent your money somewhere else, then I suggest you watch Little Miss Sunshine. The title might not appeal to you, but I guarantee |

you’ll leave the theatre smiling and wondering why you hadn’t seen this before instead of The Covenant (hopefully none of you had to see that). This movie, starring Steve Carell, Greg Kinnear, Toni Collette, and Abigail Breslin, is about a dysfunctional family determined to get their little |

girl to California for the Little Miss Sunshine Contest. However, while driving in their broken down VW bus, they are faced with all kinds of obstacles that will consequently bring them closer together. This movie received 93% on rottentomatoes.com and made the cover of Entertainment Magazine. I promise you won’t be disappointed! |
