Text Box: An epic battle between two opposite math teachers caused a buzz in the whole school. The cause of this battle is Mr. Strama’s urge everyday to walk into Mr. Pettineo’s 7th period class and disrupt whatever is going on. So on May 10, Mr. Pettineo felt that it Text Box: was about time to retaliate. His plan of revenge started by sending a single student into Mr. Strama’s 2nd period class to take a test. Text Box: There are no years like your high school years. It starts with your freshman year—that first frightening year where you’re constantly trying to get on the good side of people and searching for friends that will help you survive this jungle called high school. That’s when you build the foundation for the rest of your high school career.
Then there’s sophomore year. This is the year you think you own the school and can be friends with anyone, but the rest of the school can’t stand you. The freshmen think you’re bullies and the upperclassmen just find you annoying for thinking you’re important.
Text Box: After a pretty bland sophomore year comes junior year—the year every ambitious high schooler dreads. Everyone warns you of this year, which brings SATs and HSPAs in addition to prom and schoolwork. This is the year everything gets put on you and problems seem magnified by thousands (especially with the dramatic personality of high school Juniors.) You’re now more respected and well-known, but you have so much to worry about you can’t really delight in your accomplishments. That is why we have Senior year.
For some, Senior year is the most stressful, with college applications Text Box: and SATs to worry about and just trying to have enough credits to graduate. But for all seniors, this is the year all drama is put aside and differences are overlooked. It’s the year to be more responsible and mature, but also to be more short tempered and lazy.
So everyone, whether you’re a timid freshman, and arrogant and naïve sophomore, a stressed out junior, or an AMAZING and MATURE senior, enjoy high school, because once those four short years are over you’re forced to face the “real world” and start the whole cycle over again.
