Papers, Tests, and Projects |
Tests are given after and during major works. Projects will be assigned and due dates will be set. Essays will be done in drafts and peer editing will be very important in this process. |

Class Participation |
You must be on time and in uniform. Active participation is mandatory; you must read all required materials in order to take part in discussions! |

| We will focus on American Literature from the time of the Revolution until Western Expansion. Students will write response essays and analytical papers about various topics and themes discussed. Some of the major works that will be read include The Crucible, Julius Caesar, The Scarlet Letter, and The Red Badge of Courage.

If you need help come find me in Room 203. | This course will focus on American Literature from the time of Western Expansion and onwards. Completion of a research paper will be mandatory in order for students to pass the course. Some of the major works that will be read include Huckleberry Finn, My Antonia, The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, The Things They Carried, and The Secret Life of Bees. |
