~ Introduction to the Course ~

French I French for the beginner helps the student to develop a meaningful awareness of the language, geography, and customs. The ability to participate in small conversations and to write in French is refined by listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
French II French II provides the students with the flexibility to communicate in a variety of tenses and idioms necessary for advancing fluency in the lang.
Italian I This course provides students with the fundamental background required to speak, read, write, and to understand Italian.
Italian II Once the basic skills of Italian have been mastered in the first year of the lang. the student is then able to utilize the skills to further his/her knowledge and mastery of the lang. and culture of Italy.
Italian III Italian III further develops  grammatical structure. The course encompasses increases speaking, reading, and writing.
Spanish I The curriculum for Spanish I is designed for learners with little or no previous knowledge of the Spanish language. The course develops listening comprehension and speaking as a means to learning basic grammar, reading, and writing.
Spanish II (A) Spanish II advanced is an accelerated and enriched class in comparison to the regular Spanish II course. The purpose of the course is to strive for fluency in oral expression through the study of more advanced grammar structures and vocab. acquisition.
Spanish II Once the basic skills of Spanish have been mastered in the first year of the language, the student is then able to utilize these skills to further his/her knowledge and mastery of the language and culture of the Hispanic world.
Spanish III Spanish III is a course designed for the students with a genuine appreciation for the lang. The course deals increasingly with geographical, historical, and cultural components of the Spanish world.
Spanish IV Spanish IV is a course for the students with a genuine appreciation for the lang. The course furthers the scope and refinement of comprehension and expression, through study of literary and artistic contributions from Spanish and Latin America.
AP Spanish The implement of this course allows for student preparation for the Advanced Placement Exam in Spanish Lang. The course follows the guidelines for the AP examination. Course objectives include auditory and reading comprehension, oral skills, and advanced grammar.
