Gifted Gets Chopped!

Using the mystery ingredients, students created new recipes.

1st mystery breakfast bag: hot dog, bread, pepper, eggs

Here are some of the new breakfast recipes!

  • Egg omelet with sausage and peppers

  • Egg mixed with pepper on a hot dog with a side of bread and butter

  • Breakfast sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cheese

2nd mystery breakfast bag: bread, eggs, ham, tomato

  • Large plate with scrambled eggs

  • Sunny Day Deluxe with a side of carrots

  • Super sized Egg Sandwich

1st mystery lunch bag: cheese, steak, peas, radishes

  • Steak and Macaroni

  • Lunch special with melted cheese

  • Philly Extra cheese sandwich with a side of Peas and radishes

In April,  you can vote for your favorite breakfast & lunch

Announcements:

 

4th grade G & T students attended the Lego Robotics workshop at the Saddle River Cultural Center.  Student built their lego structures and programmed them to move!

 

 

5th & 6th grade G & T students attended a field trip to the World Games at Dwight Englewood School.  Students solved world problems focusing on the following:  health care, nutrition, shelter, education, sanitation, women's rights, human rights, poverty, energy, technology, international debt, desertification, deforestation, pollution, toxic waste, ozone depletion, acid rain

 

5th & 6th grade G & T students attended a field trip to the Meadowlands Environmental Center. Topic: Sustainable Living

 

2nd grade G & T students attended a field trip to 

"Water Watchers" at the Meadowlands Environmental Center.

 

3rd grade G & T students attended a field trip to "Worms & Compost"

at the Meadowlands Environmental Center.

 

The 6th grade  G & T students are participating in a 3 session business workshop called:  Foundation for Free Enterprise

 

The 6th grade G & T students take care of their Green-Garden Greenhouse

 

Community Service: The 6th grade students read to pre-school children at Bergen County Head Start.
