Technology at James Madison School # 10 "Exciting time to learn very important technology skills."
RESPECT EVERYONE 1. No food or drink. 2.Treat equipment properly. 3. Do not touch another students computer or work, unless otherwise told. 4. Straighten up your computer station before leaving. 5. Raise your hand & Do Not Call out 7. Do not get our of your seat unless you are asked to assist other students. 8. Do not touch computers until your are given instructions. 9. Be helpful to your neighbor. 10. If student is disrupting the class or not doing appropriate work, the student will be removed from computer & do a hand-written assignment.
Respect Yourself. Do your best. How is your behavior effecting your learning? Respect Others. Help them. How is your behavior effecting your classmates? Respect Environment. How is your behavior effecting the room & teacher?

The Software Programs
we use are:
Microsoft PowerPoint
2007: The students will learn how to communicate their ideas using presentation software. They will learn how to apply backgrounds, import clip art, import video files, import sound, develop decorative titles, animate their objects and organize their information into a presentation order.
Microsoft Word 2007: The students will learn how to type, format, save, retrieve and modify their work in a word processor. They will learn how to add columns, tables, clipart, and mail merging to their documents. They will learn how to use the spell checker, grammar checker, and thesauus to improve their communication skills.
Microsoft Excel 2007: The student will learn how to use the formulas, sorting, graphing and chart features, creating functions of a spreadsheet to communicate information about the data sets it contains.
Microsoft Publisher 2003: The students will learn how to use publishing software to create newsletters, brochures, signs, flyers, banners, cards and calendars to present ideas. They will learn how to import word-processing documents into the publishing software along with clipart and charts. They will learn how to continue information from one column to another and organize information in a pleasing and informative way.
Other Programs: Photoshop, Kidspiration, Inspiration & Kidpix. Picasa-this program allows you to create collages, slide shows and even edit photos. Wordle: create a wall of words in a creative manner. www.wordle.com Computer Lab contains:
