Our weather has been pleasant so for this school year. But, this can easily change. Please be reminded to have your children dressed for the anticipated cold weather. The children will conduct Physical Education classes outside and after lunch, children will play on the playground outdoors as along as we can.

             It is also important to be reminded to send your children to school as close to the reporting time as possible. The breakfast program begins promptly at 8:00 A.M. and regular reporting time is 8:30 A.M. Sending children earlier and unsupervised puts them at risk. The same situation exist at dismissal at 2:45 P.M. unless you children have planned activities with our staff, all children are dismissed at 2:45 P.M. It is the responsibility of the parents or guardian to be present to take the children home unless they are instructed to walk home. The after school programs are sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club and the Garfield Recreation Center. The school does not provide wrap around care or babysitting services.
