December is a very eventful time both in school and at home. You received your child’s report card, our peace rally took place, the fifth grade performed an original anti bullying play, and the fourth grade performed their play for the students and seniors.  Families that attended were so proud.  Excitement is in the air anticipating winter recess.

     Roosevelt School held their PEACE, HARMONY, and FRIENDSHIP RALLY on December 1^st.  The newspaper, The Record, shared our event with a great article and pictures.  A peace sign was painted on the school playground and the students encircled the sign waving their peace pinwheels with purple and gold streamers attached.  School counselors and interns held character discussions in the classrooms.  The various activities that took place throughout the day are on display in the front hall.

     The holiday tree, with all its beautiful ornaments created by the children, added to the anticipation of the season.   The expressions and comments of the child as they walk by were sounds to enjoy and remember. 

     May we all enjoy the New Year and abundance of health, love and happiness.
