Roosevelt School #7
A Message From Our Principal...

The weather is changing and the holidays are just around the corner. Thanksgiving is the best family holiday of them all.  Everyone enjoys the food and laughter that is shared throughout the day. In school, children have been talking and writing about what the holiday means to them.  Some of the classes will have a turkey dinner that was prepared by the parents and teachers. The artistic turkey decorations will soon be dressing up your dinner tables in time for Thanksgiving. As December approaches, students will be busy making tree ornaments and other decorations for their homes.  You can feel the excitement in the air. To emphasize the weather this time of year, classes will be studying the cold regions of the world, animal hibernation, seasonal holidays around the world, the Titanic tragedy and also graphing record snowfalls in various cities. The fourth graders will be performing a special program for the holidays.  The Roosevelt School chorus and band will also be performing.  Families and friends will be invited to share the holiday season.

The school book fair was a big success.  Students enjoyed searching for new books.

Thanks to the staff and parents that volunteered to help

Just a reminder, December 23rd is a half day session and marks the beginning of our winter vacation.  School reopens on January 5th

Roosevelt School staff and students wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
