WELCOME TO MRS. LEUTHNER'S COMPUTER CLASS |
| Dear Parents, As the 2010-2011 school year comes to a close, I reflect on all that your children have learned. They have become better typists, researchers, and computer users. We have used word processing, excel, power point, and desk top publishing to create projects for our classroom themes. I look forward to building on those skills during the 2011-20012 school year. |

ABOUT OUR COMPUTER LAB |
The Smart Board is an electronic white board which allows you to interact with your computer by touching the projected computer screen on the board itself. The Smart Board can also take handwritten text and convert it into computer generated text. This is an amazing advancement to our computer lab. Roosevelt School's Computer Lab is equipped with 30 new PC computers. All computers are running Windows XP. Students are using Microsoft Office XP which includes applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Internet Explorer. Students from grades K-5 attend the computer lab once a week. Grades 3-5 have computers for two periods a week. Instruction focuses on the integration of technology with the Core-Curriculum Standards. Students use word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and the Internet in areas directly related to the ongoing classroom curriculum.
