CLASSROOM NEWS

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Congratulations to my third grade students as the top prize winners of Garfield's annual essay contest sponsored by Garfield and Friends! All entries addressed Garfield's 2011 question /writing prompt: As one of today's Super-Kids, how can you explain what sets you apart from everyone else? After each student was rewarded for their writing accomplishments, they were given the opportunity to play Garfield's Math Lingo Game Board. Once again, these top prize winners proved their talents by solving problems related to the properties of addition, fact families, number patterns, and the comparison of numbers. As a result, they became official MATH CATS and their photos were displayed on Garfield's Math Cats Chalkboard.
