Saving to a CD-RW

1.  Save a file to the CD-RW- (Writing files to a CD)

Open two windows on your computer

·     First Window by going to Start, My Documents, locate your file

·     Second Window by going to Start, My Computer, CD-Rom drive

2.  Click and drag the file you want to save on the CD-RW to the CD window that you have opened. Let go of the file when the Yellow Folder with your name on it turns black.  This will allow you to drop off the file within the Yellow Folder with your name on it.

3.  Once you have dragged your files over to the CD window, Click Write these files to CD.

4.  Click Finish when the computer prompts you to.

5.  The difference between a CD- Rom and CD-RW is that the CD-RW is rewriteable.  Rewriteable means that you can save a file, open the file, make changes to the file, and save again.

6.  You may not make changes to a file once the file has been written to a CD-Rom.   CD-RW is a mass storage device that allows you to save information on it.
