The Academic Initiatives Committee held our annual Awards night on May 17,2022. The members of the Academic Initiatives Committee here at Garfield High School appreciate you sharing in this event. This year we are honoring over 300 students for their academic achievement and their hard work and dedication. Through the Academic Incentives Program, we strive to encourage and motivate our students to achieve more and do more. We encourage all of them to develop discipline, integrity, and pride in accomplishments, in school and in life. Students received awards for reaching the Superintendents Roll, Principals Roll, Honor Roll, and for Academic Recognition.
If you want to include the different qualifications:
To achieve academic recognition for 2021-2022, students must earn a 3.65 or higher GPA average for the last marking period of the 2020-2021 school year and the first three marking periods of the 2021-2022 school year. Students on the Honor Roll have earned a GPA of 3.5 or above, and have no more than 2 C’s in that marking period. Students on the principal’s roll have earned a 3.76 or above, and have no more than one C in that marking period. Students on the Superintendent’s Roll have earned straight A’s in all of their classes.
